We Had Fun at the Fair!

VACCRRN and the State Fair joined together with our sponsors for our third annual Virginia Child Care Day at the Fair on Wednesday, September 30.  We were thrilled to present Ready, Set, Imagine!, a series of interactive, educational workshops performed by Michele Valeri of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.  The multi-talented Michele told stories through song and entertained over 230 children, parents and child care providers throughout the day with her musical instruments, puppets, voice and amazing imagination!  Thanks to Michele for bringing magic, music and fun to our day!

Wolf Trap workshops infuse the experiences of art and music to enhance young children’s developmental skills and improve outcomes in key areas such as emergent literacy and language development.  Ready, Set, Imagine! focused on storytelling techniques which encourage the development of  children’s reading verbalizing and problem-solving skills.
